SafeID (safeid.in) provides identity-safe smart QR tags for vehicles, pets, luggage, gadgets and personal use across India. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it.
2. Information we collect
When you place an order we collect your name, phone number, email address and shipping address. When you activate a SafeID tag we collect the emergency contact details and optional information (such as blood group) that you choose to store against your tag. We also collect standard technical data such as device type and pages visited to improve the website.
3. How your phone number stays private
SafeID is built on a privacy-first principle: your phone number is never displayed to anyone who scans your tag. Scanners communicate with you through the SafeID relay layer, and you can pause, block or transfer a tag at any time.
4. How we use your information
We use your details to process and deliver orders, provide scan-to-chat and emergency alert services, respond to support requests, and send order updates. We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties.
5. Payments
Payments on safeid.in are processed by Razorpay and/or Shopify. We never store your card numbers, UPI PINs or banking credentials on our servers. Payment data is handled directly by these PCI-DSS compliant payment providers.
6. Data retention & security
Order and tag data is stored on secured servers and retained only as long as needed to provide our services or as required by law. Access to personal data is restricted to authorised personnel.
7. Your rights

8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised date.
